kyun!

a few weeks ago linda taught me a new japanese word, kyun..

“kyun” - is a Japanese onomatopoeia that refers to the “momentary
tightening of ones chest caused by powerful feelings.”

totally felt that today. linda and i met at a store i found online called Maido!. it was seriously amazing! i ate delicious okonomiyaki, one of my fav j-foods.

THEN i bought provisions for my j-presentation on monday. i hope hope hope those 10th graders will like my little snacks.

when i first walked in, looked around, saw doraemon on tv, and heard people speaking japanese to each other, i got a little teary-eyed. and my chest definitely tightened because of those strong feelings...
