on monday night when i came home from math class exhausted, melissa asked "are you grouchy?" i said, "no, just wicked tired". and that was the truth.
how about now, you ask? i'm grouchy. wicked grouchy.
i just looked at my grades online and i got a bad grade on monday's test. i know, i know, i could have studied a lot harder... 2.5 hours isn't very long to study for an exam. but lauren was here. and i was tired. and it's algebra so i shouldn't have to study. right? wrong, apparently.
my average is now an 84. i know that's not a bad average. and i have 2 more tests to bring it up to an A. and really, it doesn't matter if i get an A because i just have to get a B in order to get credit with the department of education. but one bad grade really makes a difference when i only have five grades total for the course. and my pride says i can't get a B in basic algebra.
to add to my grouchiness, three clowns sitting behind me are swearing and being obnoxious.

It's not silly at all. I would feel exactly the same if I were in your shoes. No matter what anyone says, grades do matter--at least to most of us.
